Established in early 2010 by husband and wife team Mark and Julie Cooper, with a combined 45 years of financial services experience, Clarity Financial Planning Ltd provides fee-based independent financial planning to private clients in Purley, Coulsdon, Warlingham and surrounding areas, with a key focus on Retirement Planning.
We will seek to expand the business as fee-based advice becomes the norm, with a more discerning public increasingly valuing the truly impartial delivery of advice and knowledge.
Mark Cooper Dip PFS – Financial Planner
IFA, DipPFS
Mark has more than twenty-five years of retail financial services experience, including seventeen as an Account Manager for Standard Life Assurance Company working primarily in the pension and investment markets, before becoming an Independent Financial Adviser in 2004.
Outside of work, Mark is an enthusiastic supporter and official of local non-league football team Whyteleafe FC, a member of the Rotary Club of Coulsdon Manor, Group Chairman of the 1st Purley Scout Group and runs Quiz Nights for worthy causes.
Qualifications
As a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and Personal Finance Society (PFS), Mark holds the Diploma in Financial Planning, including specialist advanced CII qualifications G60 (Pensions) and K20 (Pension Investment Options).
Mark is now studying towards the Advanced Diploma, aiming to achieve the Chartered status it affords by the end of 2012.
Julie Cooper – Office Manager
Julie Cooper Office Manager
Julie has nearly twenty years of experience in Pensions administration, including working for Commercial Union, Standard Life and Scottish Equitable and nearly a decade with a firm of Pension Trustees administering the Final Salary Schemes of a number of household name companies.
Away from work Julie is Mum to Adam and Lucy, enjoys gardening and is a bit of a book worm, favouring Murder Mysteries both classic and modern, from Agatha Christie to Patricia Cornell and Ian Rankin.
